An A-lister Superstar paid Rs 35-40 Crores to mute the MeToo Victim!

The year 2018 will always be highlighted for the MeToo movement where many Bollywood celebrities were accused of sexual harassment, and many prominent names came out of the shell owing to their sexual misconduct. However, soon after, many of the accused have been back to business, and are walking scot-free, marking a disappointing end to this impactful movement.

Besides the quick death of the MeToo movement, something that is even more shocking and upsetting is the fact that few of the big names involved in the controversy did not even make it to the list. A Deccan Chronicle report revealed that the name of an A-lister superstar was not even called out as he made a huge amount to the accusers and all the prospective whistleblowers for keeping mum over the entire wrongdoing.

As per the report, a humongous amount of Rs 35-40 crores was paid to the MeToo accused victim of the superstar to stay mum and not disclose his name in public. The report further says that the name of the producer who often brags about being 'friendly' with almost all the actresses he has signed, didn't come out either.

The pioneer of the MeToo movement, Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta, accused Nana Patekar of harassing her on the sets of Horn Ok Pleassss while shooting a dance sequence. She had filed an FIR against the actor and has held a brave fight against the movement. However, Nana Patekar received a clean chit in the case, and the sexual harassment case against the actor was closed by cops on grounds that there was no prima facie case against him.
