Amrita Rao's special connect with music!

Bollywood actress Amrita Rao, who is all set for her debut on television with &TV's upcoming show 'Meri Awaaz Hi Pehchaan Hai', shares a special connect with music.

She plays the role of Kalyani Gaikwad on the show, who is a renowned singer and Amrita is quite happy to have this role in her kitty for her acting debut on television. Amrita, who holds a passion for acting, holds a similar passion for music as well.

Talking about her connect with music, Amrita reveals, "Although acting is my passion but music is my life and my soul; music is a part of me. Sometimes I think that if I was not inclined towards music then what would life be... perhaps it would never be the same. I did Hindustani Classical singing for 3 years when I was in school but now through this show, it's like revisiting those times."

"I have always had that extra admiration and respect for singers. I really admire actors or dancers but I have a special corner for singers in my heart and I am very happy to play the same," added the actress.

When asked Amrita whether she would be singing for her upcoming show, she commented, "Vikas Gupta has told me that I will make you sing for the show! Singing is my soul, so perhaps I would not say a No' for it. I would definitely be very attracted to say Yes' for it (smiles)."
