Amitabh has habit of redefining the word legend: Mamata

Wishing megastar Amitabh Bachchan on his 71st birthday, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee Friday described him as "the man who has made a habit of redefining the meaning of the word legend".

"Rarely does someone combine fame and humility with such nonchalance, charm everyone without a wand and deliver awe-inspiring performances so regularly. His magnetic personality continues to attract people of our country and abroad with effortless ease," Banerjee said on her official Facebook page.

"On his birthday, we wish all the best for his health, happiness and tranquility. And also pray to God that Amitabh ji continues to fill our heart with joy and receive our love and affection forever," said Banerjee.

Bachchan is slated to inaugurate the 19th Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) beginning here Nov 10.
