Amitabh Bachchan’s Son-In-Law Nikhil Nanda Booked in Suicide Abetment and Fraud Case

Nikhil Nanda, the son-in-law of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan and chairman of Escorts Kubota, has reportedly been booked in a fraud and abetment to suicide case. As per reports, the case was filed in Uttar Pradesh’s Badaun district by the Dataganj Police following a court’s directive. Several other executives from Escorts Kubota have also been named in the complaint.

The case revolves around Jitendra Singh, a tractor dealership owner, who allegedly took his own life after immense pressure from company officials. Jitendra’s brother, Gyanendra, has claimed that Nikhil Nanda and other executives forced Jitendra to meet impossible sales targets. When he failed, they allegedly threatened to take away his dealership license and auction his property.

On November 21, 2024, Jitendra was reportedly put under extreme pressure to boost sales. The next day, he was found dead. His family alleges that the police did not take action immediately and only responded after the court’s intervention.

In his complaint, Gyanendra has accused several company officials of putting immense pressure on Jitendra to meet unrealistic sales targets. The accused include Nikhil Nanda, Ashish Baliyan (Area Manager), Sumit Raghav (Sales Manager), Dinesh Pant (UP Head), Pankaj Bhaskar (Financier Collection Officer), Amit Pant (Sales Manager), Neeraj Mehra (Sales Head), and Shishant Gupta (Shahjahanpur Dealer). According to Gyanendra, the continuous pressure from these officials caused severe stress to Jitendra, ultimately leading to his tragic demise.

Jitendra’s father, Shiv Singh, has blamed Escorts Kubota for his son’s death. He stated, “I don’t know who he is. We want justice.” He also claimed he was unaware of Nanda’s ties to the Bachchan family.

Nikhil Nanda, married to Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter Shweta Bachchan, is now under investigation. Authorities are looking into the case, and further developments are awaited.
