Amitabh Bachchan refuses to use body double to shoot action sequence for a TV commercial

Amitabh Bachchan, still known as the "Angry Young Man," shot a TV commercial with director Amit Sharma and surprised the entire crew with his dedication and passion for action and stunts. 

Just a few minutes before the shoot, 79-year-old Amitabh Bachchan informed the crew and the director that he would perform his own stunts. Needless to say, the production team was both impressed and taken aback. 

“ We had a body double prepared, but when Mr Bachchan arrived on set, he informed the director that he preferred to perform his own stunts. We, too, had to take numerous precautions." 

“Mr Bachchan was required to smash three toughened glass panels sequentially, and he accomplished this in nearly one take for each. Mr Bachchan aced it like a pro, and he exemplifies the fact that age is just a number”,Verma said. 

Verma has recently worked on projects such as 'Sardar Udham' and 'Mirzapur,' and has previously worked on commercials with Mr Bachchan. He also worked on Shoojit Sircar's 'Shoebite,' which also starred Mr. Bachchan. 

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan was most recently seen in the film ‘Jhund’.
