The era of digital revolution was rubber-stamped and pushed to it's maximum, when the TV czarina decided to be the queen of digital world too. Exactly a year ago, on 16th April 2017, Ekta Kapoor, the name which was usually synonymous with path-breaking TV shows and some immensely successful films; decided to enter the digital space with a vision in the form of ALT Balaji.

And as cliche as it sounds, the rest as we know is history. With over 18+ originals and other running shows in multiple languages, ALT Balaji has become the go-to application for internet users. Today marks the one year anniversary of the show, and we thought of shortlisting the 5 blistering shows from the app, that you certainly cannot MISS.

The Test Case

It was a bittersweet moment for Ekta initially, where her most ambitious project, The Test Case hit a roadblock after having shot one episode, when the app was launched. Several As and Bs led to the show getting delayed, but it was finally ready and went live back in January 2018. Fortunately, that delay did not be of any concern, as the show only seemed to have gotten better. With a bravura performance by Nimrat Kaur, The Test Case is certainly a near perfect show, you cannot miss.

Haq Se

This show was one of those apt examples of marrying the idea of commercial appeal with gritty content. Amidst all alluring ensemble cast of some of the top performers we know, the show tackled an area, not many knew about. And even if you knew, there was a chance, you wouldn't have seen it. Adding to all this, if you love picturesque shots and landscapes, Haq Se should be on the top of your list.

Karle Tu Bhi Mohabbat

Even though many of the fans were excited to see their favourite on-screen jodi of Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar uniting again, there was a sense of question, as to if there will be any resemblance to Bade Acche Lagte Hai. But, the same was eradicated completely, when the show went live. Not only were Ram and Sakshi in completely different avatars and characters, but the plotline was refreshing. To date, it is the only ALT Balaji original to have a second season being aired already.

Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain

The latest entry to being one of the most successful shows for the app, Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain became an instant rage the moment it went live. Once again, you had a mouth-watering starcast coming together exhibiting some of their career best performances. But again, the idea of extra-marital affair initially felt one that you have seen a lot many times. That, however was completely wronged once everyone saw the episodes. The subtlety and execution of the concept was so novel, you almost feel you are watching this concept being executed for the first time.

Bose: Dead/Alive

Above, we mentioned how The Test Case was one of the near-perfect shows, that you cannot miss. Well, talking about Bose: Dead/Alive, we can boldly say that it was one of those perfectly executed shows that will go down in history books. It has become a habit to applaud Rajkummar Rao for his brilliance and this show was no exception, but the best part about Bose: Dead/Alive was the authenticity, realism and pace that makes your viewing an unforgettable experience.

Special mentions for Tamil and Bengali show, Maya Thirai and Dhimaner Dhinkal respectively! If you're any of the above and love regional content, these shows definitely deserve a watch.

Of course, there are a lot many other shows that are equally worth your time and money, but according to us, these make it to the list on your must-watch list.

We wish Ekta Kapoor and Alt Balaji loads of congratulations and best wishes on completing one year, where we know and hope, there will be umpteen years to come ahead.

Karle Tu Bhi Mohabbat and Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain nothing could be much beautiful than these two tales.. So the timing for final Three Episodes of Karle Tu Bhi Mohabbat has been announced but for the most loved Saga Kehne Ko Humsafar Hai still have to wait for Season Two, where two people madly in love with each other, became Humsafars for name sake parted away...once who broke all norms created by society...Its an addiction n madness is increasing more after Season 1
