ALTBalaji and ZEE5 Ropes in a Fresh Face Shivjyoti Rajput for its Upcoming Romance-Drama ‘Bebaakee’

ALTBalaji and ZEE5 have charmed audiences aplenty with its diverse content as well as give a host of opportunities to many aspiring talents. The content queen Ekta Kapoor not only churns out unique content but also gives a launch pad to many new faces across the board.  With there being no compromise in quality, the platform leaves no stone unturned to give audiences the best of the scripts, content and commendable performances by their actors. The latest newcomer to join the bandwagon is Shivjyoti Rajput who hails from the capital of India, New Delhi. She will be seen romancing Kushal Tandon in ALTBalaji and ZEE5's upcoming romance drama 'Bebaakee'. She will be seen essaying the character of Kainaat Sahni which was a coveted role. After auditioning 120 talents the makers had locked in on two girls before finalising her. The auditions for the lead girl started in March 2019 and the hunt finally ended in July with Shivjyoti finally bagging the lead character of Kainaat Sahni.

Kainaat is the eldest daughter of the Sahni family. While she may be extremely soft-spoken and respectful, she simply cannot stand injustice or people playing their way to power. She is a strong feminist believer and has sacrificed her teenage years to be the mother to her younger siblings and is the breadwinner of her family along with her father. Kainaat doesn’t believe in casual relationships and doesn’t feel like she needs a man in her life. With her dad being her role model, Kainaat knows that if she wants a partner, it has to be just like her father.

All set to make her acting debut, the beautiful ShivJyoti quipped, “Ekta is an embodiment of versatility and thespian talent.  Now, this is coming from a management student, not from an actor. She has carved a niche for herself in the field of entertainment and empowered people to be their best. She has a persona, which is contagious, effulgent & oozed warmth and a passionate person who leads a life with an optimistic attitude. This project is her dream project and if she has chosen me, it's a huge compliment in every aspect."

Speaking about her character she adds, "I play a very interesting character named Kainaat who is unlike the sophisticated society women and is very honest, down to earth, and direct. She considers self-discipline her strong suit and not a flaw. She is very thorough in forming her opinions and lives with her high principles. She is an ambitious girl who simplifies the complexities around her. She is a dream merchant and a go-getter".

The story of Bebaakee is based on the lives of Kainaat Sahni and Sufiyaan Abdullah, two contrasting characters with strong personalities. Kainaat is a simple and happy-go-lucky girl who has her goals in mind while Sufiyaan hails from a rich family. Their love for journalism sees their paths collide leading to the pair feeling a high sense of chemistry between themselves. The puzzle arises when the duo simply can’t seem to figure out if this vibe between them is going to be followed by love or hate. What follows next is an unforeseen chain of events that begins to shake Sufiyaan’s close-knit family and their business to the very core.
