Along with fans, I’m also upset with Rudra- Preesha’s end: Sargun Kaur Luthra on leap in ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’

Star Plus show ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’ is all set to take a generation leap. The channel released a new promo wherein post leap track is revealed. Samrat is seen as a popular rockstar who doesn't really care about the love from his fans while Nayantara is a loner but knows how to embrace the same with confidence.

The actors are seen in distinct looks post leap. While Abrar is seen having a funky look with long hair, Sargun's skin colour tone is darkened and she will be seen sporting a mole on her face and a tight braid.

India Forums got in touch with the lead actress Sargun Kaur Luthra and asked her a few questions on the leap.

We asked Sargun about Rudra-Preesha’s end and fans being upset with the same, she said, “Honestly, I am equally upset with Rudra- Preesha’s love story coming to an end. I’ve played the character for quite a long time and have lived the journey of Preesha and his love for Rudra. I was not very happy with the twist, however, I can’t do much about the same. I’d like to apologize to the fans and would request them to join us in this new chapter post leap”.

Talking about her character Nayantara in the show post leap, Sargun said, “Nayantara is a strong-headed and straight forward individual. She doesn’t shy away in calling spade, a spade and thus her attitude puts off people and they don’t like the brutal honesty that she has. Things would take an interesting turn when Nayantara and Samrat would meet. The story would revolve around how Nayantara will start grooming herself and making a few improvements in her personality”.

After playing the gorgeous Preesha, actress Sargun Kaur Luthra will be seen donning a de-glam avatar. When asked if she was skeptical for the same, she said, “I wasn’t skeptical to go de-glam. I really like challenges and this character is quite different from Preesha, so I was keen on doing the same as it’s giving me a chance to provide versatile roles to my viewers. The main aim of the makers with the look of Nayantara is to make her look like a simple middle-class individual. I’d like to share an incident from the sets while I was shooting as this new character. I was sitting on a chair while a spot dada couldn’t recognize me. It was only when I spoke to him, that he realized about me. Hence, I feel, the purpose of the makers will be served”.
