All the teams are strong and competitors- Srishty Rode

Bubbly and good looking Srishty Rode who was last seen in Saraswatichandra on Star Plus will now be seen in a sporty look. As Balaji Telefilms' is coming up with their first sports reality show Box Cricket League where many popular actors of TV will be seen playing cricket for different teams. One such actress is Srishty Rode who will be seen playing from Jaipur Joshile team.

We got in touch with Srishty to know about her interest for cricket and more...

What made you to take up BCL?

I am very much interesting in sports. I love football and cricket. I am better in football but I also play cricket. Now through BCL I have got a chance again to play cricket after a long time and that to infront of so many people. There is a lot of pressure but I want to try doing it better and make myself better in sports.

Have you ever played cricket before?

Yes I have played it earlier. I only used to play cricket and football all the time during my childhood in fact I used to hit boys with my cricket bat (laughs) but this time I am not going to do anything as such, this time I will play pure cricket, I will play a proper game and through my performance, I will win everyone's hearts.

Why did you opt Jaipur Joshiley as a team?

I got an offer from many teams but Kamya Punjabi is a dear friend, so when she called me and said that 'Shrishty you are playing from my team', I couldn't say No. So this game I am purely playing for Kamiya Punjabi because she is a very good friend of mine.

As cricket is mainly played by men, so don't you think so that even in BCL more focus will be on men?

No, I don't think so that there will be anything as such because when we girls will play, everyone will automatically get to know that girls are nevertheless. And most importantly we should not bother about who is playing more or is playing less because it is completely depends upon the person's capability. At the end we are playing for the team and so if we are not playing well, we ourselves must understand that we are not playing well and back out from the game to give the better player a chance so that the team wins because we are not playing for Shrishty or for Kamya, we are playing for the team our team Jaipur Joshiley.

Which team is the biggest competitor?

Actually there are good players in every team. So all the teams are strong and competitors because all the teams will give their best as everyone wants to win. So any can win you never know.
