Ajaz Khan's bail plea rejected by the court; Gaurav Dixit arrest crucial to the case

It was only yesterday we reported about how actor Gaurav Dixit was arrested by the NCB after 'MD' and 'charas' was allegedly obtained from his residence. It was also reported that he was arrested in connection with the already on-going interrogation in the case of actor Ajaz Khan.

Back in April, the investigative agency found large quantities of banned drugs at his house located in Lokhandwala. Now, coming to Khan, the actor, who was arrested in the drugs possession case will continue to remain in jail as of now. His recent bail plea was rejected by the court. Talking about it with ETimes TV, zonal director Sameer Wankhede said, “The bail has been rejected by the honorary NDPS court as the charges against him are serious.” Khan was arrested under sections 8C, 27A, 28, 29, and 32 of the NDPS act and has remained in jail for over four months now.

Dixit was on the run for nearly four months and reportedly both Dixit and Khan have a direct connection with Shadab Batata, who was arrested by the NCB with drugs worth Rs 2 crores in the month of March.

Reacting to Dixit's arrest, Wankhede said, “In the Shadab Batata case we have already arrested four people including Ajaz Khan and therefore Gaurav becomes very crucial as far as the network is concerned. We have also recovered drugs from his house.”
