Aishwarya Sharma has made a strong mark in the Indian television industry with her powerful performances and natural charm. She became a household name with her role as Pakhi in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. Apart from her acting talent, Aishwarya impressed audiences as a finalist on Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 and created buzz with her appearance on Bigg Boss 17. Known for her confidence and honesty, Aishwarya continues to explore different platforms and roles, always focused on growing as an artist. In this candid interview, she talks about her career choices, challenges of fame, and personal growth.
Would you consider coming back on OTT platforms?
Absolutely. I’m open to all platforms—OTT, TV, even films. I’ve never said no to television. For me, what matters most is the role I’m offered. If the character excites me, challenges me, and has something meaningful to say, I’m all in—no matter the medium. OTT, especially, gives actors a lot of creative freedom and space for deep, layered stories. I would love to do something powerful on OTT if the right project comes my way.
If you weren’t an actor, what career would you have chosen?
I would have chosen something equally creative—maybe a dancer, fashion designer, or interior designer. I’ve always loved things that let me express myself. Dance brings emotional release, fashion shows personal style, and interior design helps you tell stories through spaces. Whatever it was, it would definitely be something full of creativity.
What is one thing you think you need to work on personally?
I think my impulsiveness and tendency to overthink. Sometimes I react too quickly or keep thinking about something for too long, which adds stress and makes it hard to stay in the present moment. I’ve learned that peace doesn’t come from controlling everything around you—it comes from calming yourself from within. That’s what I’m focusing on right now.
What’s one major drawback of being an actor?
The biggest downside is the lack of privacy. Everything you do is watched, judged, and often misunderstood. Even if you do 99 things right, people remember the one mistake. It can affect your mental health. Fame looks glamorous, but it has its own struggles. Still, I’m thankful for the love, the learning, and the chance to grow as a person. The challenges are real, but so is the passion—and that’s what keeps me going.
