It certainly seems that there is a wave going on when it comes to people from the entertainment industry decided to join politics. Only recently, we learned about how actresses Shilpa Shinde and Arshi Khan took the step and joined politics in different parties.

And now, joining the bandwagon is none other than producer Saurabh Tewari. The man has been responsible for giving some of the most iconic shows on Indian TV in the form of Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, Zindagi Ki Mehek and Rangrasiya among others.

On joining BJP, Saurabh said "I feel immensely honored and privileged to join Bhartiya Janta Party. It's high time that individuals from all the sections of the society come forward and actively contribute and participate in the mainstream politics and help shaping up the nation. My grand father Late T. N Bajpai was a well known Railway Trade Union leader so there was always an inclination to join the politics and serve the nation."

We wish Saurabh all the best for this new chapter.
