Shonali Nagrani is best known for her stint in Bigg Boss 5. Recently, the VJ, host and actress opened up about her divorce from her husband. The actress also revealed going through a rough patch. The actress tied the knot with Shiraz Bhattacharya in 2013 and got divorced in 2019.

She had said in an interview with a leading media portal, “I was emotionally destroyed at one point and didn’t have the energy to invest in work, family, or myself. I hated myself, and my self-esteem hit rock bottom. I didn’t realise when I bid adieu to the old Shonali, who loved to giggle and laugh. But soon, I felt I had a choice - to feel like a victim and stay bitter or to focus on picking up the pieces. I chose to heal and turn my adversity into a blessing. I used it as a stepping stone towards personal growth and self-discovery.”

And now, the actress will soon be seen in an upcoming project. While she came out with her personal life crisis and how beautifully she handled it, she is now all set to create a new happy life for herself. The actress was already travelling for some work to Doha, and she made it slight detour to fit in a solo trip to Italy amidst all the work trips.

It is my first ever solo trip. I chose Italy as I’d heard great things about the place, and as a solo traveller, I can dive right into its art history and culture. I’m having a ball of time, and learning about myself, it is so much fun.

When asked about the same, Shonali said. "It is my first ever solo trip. I chose Italy as I’d heard great things about the place, and as a solo traveller, I can dive right in to its art history and culture. I’m having a ball of a time, and it is so much fun to learn a lot about your own self.”

She added, "I also visited Turkey for a close friend’s birthday. This place has been nothing short of a visual delight, I could write chapters on it every nook and corner. The adventurous me also took off with a mass ATV off-road experience, and I must say, I had a wonderful time. I also went to the Turkish house and learnt to make some easy authentic food...to say the least, I have gained 2 kilos already, and I am not complaining. I’ll be back soon and back with a broader smile, more energy and immense happiness."

We wish happiness and growth to Shonali!
