After 'Ramayana', Now 'Mahabharata' To Begin Airing on DD National Too

The telecast will begin tomorrow (March 28). One episode will be aired at 12 Noon and another at 7 PM. The official social media page of the channel made the announcement and wrote, “After Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan, now Doordarshan brings you another epic show BR Chopra's Mahabharat starting from tomorrow (March 28) on its @DD_Bharati channel. #IndiaFightsCorona”

Times have been tough indeed when it comes to the constantly growing covid outbreak everywhere but to many, one of the other problems has also been the lack of having fresh episodes to watch on television. Yes, indeed that is a problem for many.

However, news about how the cult classic Ramayana will be re-running again on DD National came in as a major trip of nostalgia and relief at the same time. Now Prasar Bharati has further confirmed that the channel will also be running another cult classic mythological show in the form of Mahabharata. Just like the former, Mahabharata was also one of the most popular shows back then had record viewership throughout its runtime.

Announcing the arrival of Ramayana on DD National, Prakash Javadekar wrote, "Happy to announce that on public demand, we are starting to retelecast of 'Ramayana' from tomorrow, Saturday, March 28 in DD National, One episode in morning 9 am to 10 am, another in the evening 9 pm to 10 pm.@narendramodi @PIBIndia@DDNational."
