The inclination of the audience towards shows based on the supernatural genre and vampires has been a trending one over the years. And amidst the several attempts being made to make such shows, the most popular one remains to be the Vivian Dsena and Sukirti Kandpal starrer, Pyaar Ki Ye Ek Kahaani.

And now after a long time, Indian television will be welcoming yet another adaptation of the English series, The Vampire Diaries.

According to a leading news daily, film director, Milap Zaveri is all set to make his TV directorial debut with the upcoming adaptation of The Vampire Diaries. This show will also mark actor Shiv Pandit's comeback to Indian television after doing a brief cameo in Kavita Kaushik's previous TV outing, Dr. Bhanumati On Duty.

Sources say that the show will retain the original essence of The Vampire Diaries but will be treated in a rather conservative manner considering it will be catering to the Indian audience. The makers and the cast have already shot the pilot and the scale of VFX is termed to be on a huge scale.
