Actor Taniya Chatterjee has been on the tube for a while now where she has mostly been a part of web shows so far. After making an impact with her bold avatar in Gandi Baat 4, she continued to bolder and glamorous characters in Kasak and upcoming series, Class of 2020 Season 2.
However, the actor is all set to venture in a new zone altogether as she goes entirely deglam in the episodic show, Crime World that airs on Shemaroo TV app.
In an exclusive interview with us, we first asked her about the character and the episode, to which she said, "My character of Mohini is that of a simple housewife. As she is pretty, her husband obviously loves her but at the same time is also very possessive about her. Even her family loves her but are always cautious about the fact that she is so beautiful and they stay in a village setting."
We asked her as to what makes this role and the show different, to which she said, "The character is indeed different for me especially. My fans have seen in me in bold and glamorous avatars so far be it in Gandi Baat 4, Kasak or the upcoming show, Class of 2020. And while, these characters are different from each other, they fall into the hot and glamorous category. With this show, it is entirely different and also de-glamorised. There aren't any bold scenes per se and only a few love and intimate scenes between her and her on-screen husband. And hence, it is entirely a new facet for me to play and for my fans to watch. The show releases today at 10.30 pm on Shemaroo TV. I hope that people will watch this and like it as well."
She added, "According to me, I feel, as an actor, I have to be flexible - be it on OTT or TV. And hence, with such choice of projects, I am willing to be in as many characters I can be a part of. And as I have done both urban and rural avatars, I want to continue to prove my versatility as much as possible."
When asked about her upcoming projects, she said, "Apart from Class of 2020 Season 2, I will also be seen in a film, whose names and title I cannot reveal yet. But the entire cast is known and I am, in fact, a newbie in the cast. But I am very excited and optimistic about this film and will soon reveal further details."
