After Being Delayed For 9 Years, 'Locke & Key' To Premiere on Netflix

It must be several times by now that you would have heard about how Locke & Key, the beloved graphic novel is being adapted into a feature presentation. However, nothing quite materialized for a long time and it seemed it would never happen.

However, the supremely long wait to have the adaptation rolling is happening finally and it has even got a premiere date on Netflix. The streaming giant will be releasing the Joe Hill-Gabriel Rodriguez's novel adaptation on February 7th, 2020, almost a decade after the first attempt to adapt it.

The series, from Carlton Cuse and Meredith Averill centers on the Locke family mom Nina and kids Bode, Tyler and Kinsey. After the gruesome murder of their father, the siblings and Nina move into their ancestral home, Keyhouse, which they discover is full of magical keys that may be connected to their father's death.

As the Locke children explore the keys and their unique powers, a mysterious demon awakens and will stop at nothing to steal the keys. The cast also includes Bill Heck as Rendell Locke, Laysla De Oliveira as Dodge, Thomas Mitchell Barnet as Sam Lesser and Griffin Gluck as Gabe.
