After Battling Coronavirus, Gaurav Chopra's Mother Passes Away

A few days ago, it came across as quite a surprise when actor Gaurav Chopraa took to social media seeking a plasma donor for an immediate family member. It was only confirmed later that it was his own father that he was seeking out for and has been tested with coronavirus, currently undergoing treatment. Unfortunately, his mother also tested positive for the virus and is currently undergoing treatment in the same hospital in Delhi. Opening about the whole thing to Bombay Times, Chopra said, “This is a very tough time for our family and normally, I would not have spoken about it because it is personal. But, I feel that it is important to make people aware of how coronavirus spreads.”

It was also in the same interview Chopra mentioned his mother was battling advanced-stage pancreatic cancer for the past three years but recovered and was diagnosed with coronavirus recently.

Both of Chopra's parents were admitted to the hospital suffering from COVID-19 and it is indeed sad news confirmed by the actor herself that she has passed away. In a three tweet post, Chopra said, "My mommy strongest !!

Always the brightest spot of energy in the room . Always. The beauty that did not need any kind of accentuation. It stood out .loved by all. To the point of seeming like her fans. . . Inspired so many..as a teacher, as a principal,as a colleague ,as a friend ,as a human being pursuing spiritual growth over everything else..I can go on and on .about a million things..she introduced me to everything in life ..my strength..my source.. #MeriMaa was the strongest.. She left us yesterday... In the other world she would be making everyone her fan ,I'm sure !
