Adah Sharma is all set for the release of her next film 'Bastar: The Naxal Story', directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Shah, the makers behind the film 'The Kerala Story'. The trio is back with yet another heart-wrenching story inspired by true events that shed light on the unexplored terrains of Naxalism and how it affected various parts of the country.

In a candid conversation with India Forums, Adah Sharma talked about her role in the film and various other things. When questioned, 'The trailer and other released assets of the film show a lot of bloodshed, brutality, cuss words and goriness. ' Some viewers and audiences question whether, while things have been sensationalised to grab eyeballs, they would have been shown differently and more palpably near while having the same impact.

Replying to this Adah said, "Yes it could have been done differently and uska alag impact hota.' But Sudipto sir is somebody, or even Vipul sir is someone, when he makes a movie," said, "We need to be as honest as we can be. And if our jawans were butchered in this specific way, like the 76 jawans were butchered, a tribal woman's husband was cut into pieces because he hoisted an Indian flag in his school, which isn't allowed in Bastar. So now, you could show it in different ways depending on who the filmmaker is. And they chose to show the hard-hitting, honest, and brutal way."

She further added, "And if someone is frustrated, my character in the whole film doesn't say any cuss words specifically, but imagine the point of frustration that you led someone to where a person who never uses cuss words also starts saying them. So, it's that amount of desperation, frustration, and anger, and I think that is what is trying to be shown. And when you watch the film, everything will come into perspective."

The film 'Bastar: The Naxal Story' is all set to hit the big screens on 15th March, 2024.
