Adaa's nerves of steel!

Adaa Khan who portrays the role of Akashi in Star Plus' Behenein swears that she can never take things lying down and makes sure she gives it all right back where it came from.

Adaa tells us, "The reason I love my role is because she is so fearless like me. Akashi is not like the regular leading ladies…all smiles and charms. She is very aaj ki narai (today's woman). She can't take any crap from anybody. She can fight back!"

"She slaps a drunkard because he acts funny with her boyfriend. Later, she sees to it that her cousin goes to jail as she discovers that he is involved in plotting the kidnapping of Mihir's (played by Sudeep Sahir) son. She is such a bold and buoyant character that portraying her is an exciting activity," explains Adaa.

Talking about Adaa's real life bravado she says, "I'm not the kind of girl to just ignore eve-teasers or over smart chaps. I don't believe it works that way. Ignoring will never put a stop to what they do to girls. I make sure I give it back."

Adaa tells us that the upcoming track is full of beans. "The upcoming track is really nice and would exhibit more of Akashi's plucky attitude," she signs off.
