Actress Ritu Shuvpuri is best remembered for the chart-buster song, 'O Lal Dupatte Wali' from the film, 'Aankhen' which was filmed on her co-starring Govinda. The film was a huge box office success earning the then 17 year old actress spotlight and recognition. However, she did not have any breakthrough in her future films except for a supporting role in the film, 'Hadh Kar Di Apne.'

After a sabbatical of almost ten years, Ritu is back to where she belongs with a film, 'He Man' and most importantly is set to make her debut on the small screen with a pivotal role in Anil Kapoor's second season of '24 tele-series'. According to a leading news entertainment daily, the actress will play a forensic officer, Dr Sunny at the Anti Terrorist Unit (ATU) who will work with the character of Anil Kapoor (Jai Singh Rathod) towards combating a national threat.

The actress, who is the daughter of veteran actors, Om Shivpuri and Sudha Shivpuri (Baa from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi) chose to step away from the limelight owing to her marriage and kids. However, she is now set for an acting comeback with two pound roles.

We tried contacting Ritu to confirm the news, however she remained unavailable for any comment.

We wish the actress All The Best for a successful second innings!
