It was certainly a task for actress, Devoleena Bhattacharjee as she took over the reigns from actress, Giaa Manek as Gopi in Saath Nibhana Saathiya back then.

The show was already a sensation and Giaa was loved as Gopi when unanticipated circumstances led to Giaa's exit and Devoleena's entry.

With a lot of pressure and expectations, Devoleena had a task in her hands and today, 5 years later, the actress is not only loved and adored as Gopi, but also has become synonymous with the character.

The actress' journey has been an amazing one where every passing year has only meant love and adulation reaching newer heights.
