Star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra on Saturday turned out to be the second Indian to win a gold medal in the Olympics. Thanks to Chopra, the Indian National Anthem was played at the olympics for the first time in over 13 years.

Shortly after the 23-year-old stunned the athletics world and ended India's 100-year wait for a track and field medal in the Olympics, Bollywood celebrities took to their social media handles and congratulated the star thrower for his win.

The 23-year-old athlete ended India's 100-year-wait for their first-ever medal in athletics and it came in the form of gold.

Chopra was in splendid form en route to the final and the youngster lived upto expectations with a superb first, second and final throw; returning with 87.03m, 87.58m (his best which none in the field could come close to) and 84.24m, respectively.
