Actor Abhinav Shukla who was last seen in COLORS' Jaane Kya Baat Hui is indeed a proud man today, as he just can't stop praising the valor of his brother who is in the Navy.

This is when Lt. Cdr. Vikrant Shukla jumped into action, and literally gave a rebirth to the young lad who was clinically dead.
Talking about his brother's valiant effort, Abhinav Shukla tells us, "My brother was on the other side of the lake when he realized that there was something wrong. All of them did understand that one of the guys who went to swim had drowned. Just then, my brother jumped in and started his search. The lake was so vast that it was difficult for him to get to the young man. However, he smelt some human puke and moved in the direction of it and literally laid his hands on the lad who was almost under water for 6 to 10 minutes by then. My brother with the help of another man pulled the person to the shore. But they soon realized that the lad was clinically dead, he was just not breathing. His entire body was cramped and they found it hard to even open his mouth. My brother then used the screw driver to literally open his mouth, and with the help of a pipe gave him artificial respiration. After 10 minutes of struggle, the lad's heart beat was felt and his radial pulse was felt too. Even then, he was not breathing".
"Exactly after an hour or so, they got an ambulance at the place and immediately took him to a hospital. The guy got a rebirth of sorts, and I believe, he was discharged yesterday from the hospital", informs Abhinav with a smile.
Abhinav says that this is not the first time that his brother has saved human lives. "He has helped people from many an accidents, and we are indeed proud of him".
In fact, Abhinav emulates his brother so much that he has also developed a goal in life as to help passers by and be of help when it matters the most. "Just last week, while I was driving in Malad, I witnessed a biker ramming into a trespasser. The man walking on the road had a broken leg, while the guy who was the pillion rider in the bike had a damaged skull with blood oozing out. The biker escaped injuries, courtesy his helmet. Nobody present there was ready to take them to the hospital. I butted in, picked them up and dropped them at the nearby hospital", states Abhinav.
Well, all we can say is that our nation needs more of such brave and gutsy people!!
