Abhijeet Sawant to host Indian Idol; Shreya & Loy tipped to judge

The music season on television will take to a new high post IPL on Sony Entertainment Television with the widely watched Indian Idol 5, which will be produced by Wizcraft this season.
   
As we all know, Anu Malek who has judged the show in all its previous seasons is already on board as the judge.

The buzz is that Abhijeet Sawant, winner of Indian Idol 1 has been approached to host the show along with ex-Idol talent Prajakta Shukre.

When contacted, Abhijeet Sawant told us, "Yes, talks are on with me and Prajakta to host the show. But nothing is decided".

We tried calling Prajakta, but she remained unavailable for comments.

The latest on the other judges for this season is that Shreya Ghoshal and Loy of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have been approached to judge, along with Anu Malek.

According to our source, "Many known faces from Indian Idol will be seen hosting the mini auditions in various states. Shreya Ghoshal and Loy Mendonsa have been approached to judge the show. Shreya will in all probability accept the offer, if she is given the permission to join in with auditions for Indian Idol, after the conclusion of her other presently running show, Music Ka Mahamuqabbla on Star Plus. Talks are on with Loy Mendonsa, but he has not given his confirmation yet".

We tried calling Shreya Ghoshal as well as Loy, but could not get any revert.

We also tried calling Namit Sharma, Business Head, Wizcraft, but he too remained unavailable.
