Abhay Verma Dedicates Pehla Nasha 2.0 to THIS Special Person, and We Can All Relate

Bollywood’s classic romantic song Pehla Nasha holds a special place in the hearts of many, and its recreated version, Pehla Nasha 2.0, has only added to the nostalgia. Actor Abhay Verma, who stars in the song, recently shared his emotional connection to the project and the person he dedicated it to.

Abhay, who first gained recognition for his role in The Family Man 2 (2021), later made his lead debut in Safed (2023). His career took off with the 2024 horror-comedy Munjya, a box office hit. Despite playing intense roles in the past, he found Pehla Nasha 2.0 a beautiful opportunity to explore romance and love on screen.

Talking about the dreamy and fairytale-like vibe of the song with us, he revealed that it wasn’t difficult to bring emotions to life, thanks to the nostalgia attached to the original. He and his co-star, Pragati, watched Aamir Khan’s performance to understand the depth of pure, unfiltered emotions. One of his favorite moments was recreating the legendary Udta Hi Phiru jump, which he had dreamed of doing since childhood.

However, the most heartfelt part of his journey with Pehla Nasha 2.0 was dedicating it to his mother. In his own words:

I think the first person would be my mom because I truly cannot imagine my life without her. She is the one person I deeply relate to, and any words of love that come out of my mouth would undoubtedly be dedicated to her. Everything I am doing today—sitting here, answering this question, being part of this interview, and promoting my work—is all because of her unwavering support and her will to send her kids out into the world and encourage them to pursue whatever they want in life.
