A well deserved Break for Ashima Bhalla..

Meri Awaaz Ko Mil Gayee Roshni was pulled off the air recently due to low TRP’s. The show which started with the plot of a middle-class girl from a small town who comes to the big city to fulfill her dreams and make it big in the music industry, lost its unique charm when the storyline and cast was changed mid-way.

Telly Buzz team spoke to the protagonist of the serial Ashima Bhalla to know her feelings after the show's wrap-up.. “Everything that begins has to end. For me it was a great experience working on the sets of Meri Awaaz... It’s been a year since I’ve worked here and I couldn’t have asked for a better serial to make my debut. The whole unit was like a family to me and the shooting was more like an extended picnic", says Ashima.

And what about the change in the storyline of the soap? Was she happy with that? Ashima replies, “That was entirely the channel’s decision. I did feel bad about the track changing but I am an actor and I have to give my 100 percent, no matter what the track is. There was talk about extending the show and returning to the original track but unfortunately the show was pulled off the air before that could happen.”

So what plans does she have in store for future? “Right now I have no plans of working. I want to take a break of at least a month during which I intend to go to Punjab, and spend time with family and friends and just enjoy myself”, says the actress. Does that mean she is quitting work on the silver screen? “No, there are talks going on about me doing other projects, but nothing is finalized as yet. I will definitely let you know when something new comes up”, says a smiling Ashima.

Well, as Ashima takes a well deserved break, we wish to see her back with bang in promising new project!!
