A Walk from one re-incarnated plot to another...

Zee’s Banoo Main Teri Dulhann has created a history of sorts with the death of the protagonists, Saagar and Vidya. But the most loved pair has got back from the ashes to be reborn again as Amar and Divya.

The serial will now be introducing many new characters and the first entry is that of Vishal Watwani, who was earlier seen playing the character of Dhruv in Kumkum Ek Pyaara Sa Bandhan. Vishal plays Samrat, the son of Rajeev and Mahua who has been brought up under the guidance of the evil Sindoora.

Talking about his character, Vishal says, “Samrat is a very confident guy with many shades to his persona. He is surely under the mercy of Sindoora, but he knows to play the tricks at the right time. He is quite smart and as the story moves, there will be a lot that will open up about this guy.”

It has been shown that Samrat is in love with Divya, played by Divyanka Tripathi. So are we seeing a love triangle here? “Well, as of now, you can say that Samrat likes Divya. But I guess as time passes, he will surely fall for her.” Vishal feels that the beauty of Dulhann is that every character will have a standing as far as the story goes. Talking more on his character, the actor says, “I can say that the graph of my character will grow radically. My character surely has grey shades to it, you just need to wait and watch to know more. The one thing I can say is that Samrat will be a facilitator for the conflict that will start between Sindoora and Amar-Divya.”

The actor gets nostalgic when we remind him of his role in Kumkum. Says Vishal, “I have never seen a unit like Kumkum. I miss the whole unit and cast.” One interesting aspect in Vishal’s career is that he is moving out of Kumkum Ek Pyaara Sa Bandhan, that will see a reincarnation in the story soon and has entered Banoo Main Teri Dulhann that has already gone thro the reincarnation track. When asked whether he sees any minute possibility of the younger generation getting back in Kumkum after the leap, Vishal strongly denies saying, “I don’t think they will ever do that. They are now focusing on Husein and Juhi’s love track again.”

Lastly, we asked Vishal whether he would be able to cope up with the fan following that the pair of Sharad and Divyanka have, if a love triangle involving him is introduced to the track. To this, the actor states, “They are the couple who are born again to get united. That is very obvious in the story. But, I will be happy if the viewers hate me for playing a grey shade. As an actor, you want only this as a compliment, right?”
