5 reasons to watch Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala!

Star Plus' Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala is all set to air next week. The show will be starring child actress Akriti Sharma along with actors Shruti Sharma, Mohit Malik and Anjali Anand. It's plot revolves around a small town girl child who has an amazing singing voice. We think it's rather rare to put up such a premise and hence, picked Shruti Sharma's brain to find whether it's worth watching the show. 

Here's what we found- 

The show promises a mix of songs that will make the audience hum along. Shruti Sharma says, "The child can find music in everything, like even in the rustle of leaves." We love that there will be drama and back story backed up completely by playful tunes. Bonus: The songs are original. 

Star Plus has a mix of reality and fictional shows, we haven't seen a show like this in a long time and that's something to look forward to. "I'm lucky I'm not doing saas-bahu drama," said the actress who will be playing Nimrit Kaur (Kullfi's mother) on the show. 

The actress tells us that the show is all about an innocent child, a soul and music and these are factors that can move anyone. The characters wear simple clothes and blend in with the rural surroundings and that's a long way from overdressed characters on screen. We think the simplicity is a big plus point. 

Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala has a lot of hidden elements in terms of the plot. Anjali Anand of Dhhai Kilo Prem is set to play a negative role and Mohit Malik's (of Doli Armaanon Ki fame) contribution is still in the dark. It is going to be an unravelling of the past and it is rather interesting.

The child has been facing the camera for quite some time and is amazing to watch her. Something tells us she will bring her bubbly personality on screen. It is engaging and endearing to see a talented child on TV who isn't a part of a reality show.

We barely see child prodigies brought to the mainstream (August Rush, anyone?) and this is a good step towards giving TV something other than saas-bahu sagas.
