Doe-eyed, damsel in distress or bubbly sunshine girls—the days when women in movies were merely accessories are long gone. There’s character development for women, not just in movies but in real life too. And finally, we’re playing strong personalities like that of our real selves on screen as well! While we may be a bunch of inspiring women but from time to time, we all look for new ways of inspiration. The big or small moves we make in life may not go down in history but are a step towards changing the world one step at a time. Because being a woman is whatever you choose for it to be, and these movies on Lionsgate Play celebrate just that!

The White Queen

Starring Aneurin Barnard, Rebecca Ferguson, prepare yourself to learn about a time in English history through the eyes of three noblewomen engaged in a long-running conflict over the English throne at the end of the War of the Roses.

The Honourable Woman

Lady Nessa Stein a woman who inherits her father’s arms business and finds herself in an international maelstrom. Centering around a world full of crime, drama, and political upheaval, the series will explore how she continues to promote the reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians. Can she handle this?

Bombshell

A group of women, take on Fox News head Roger Ailes and the toxic atmosphere he presided over at the network. The film stars Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, and Margot Robbie, and is a biographical drama based on the women who set out to expose CEO Roger Ailes for sexual harassment. 

Becoming Elizabeth 

With a unique blend of history and drama, this series delves into the real-life royal drama following the death of Elizabeth's absentee father, King Henry VIII, and his decision to name his first, surviving and only legitimate son, nine-year-old Edward VI, heir to the throne. The series stars Alicia von Rittberg in the lead role, Romola Garai as Mary Tudor and Oliver Zetterström as Edward. 

Atomic Blonde 

Dive into the world of espionage with the crown jewel of Her Majesty's Secret Intelligence Service; Agent Lorraine Broughton (Charlize Theron) is equal parts spycraft, sensuality and savagery, willing to deploy any of her skills to stay alive on her impossible mission.
