26 cases against Khushboo transferred to one court

Chennai, April 30 (IANS) The Madras High Court Wednesday dismissed a writ petition filed by Tamil star Khushboo, seeking to quash 26 cases filed against her in various lower courts in Tamil Nadu.

Justice R. Regupathy transferred all cases to the Chief Metropolitian Magistrate's court in Egmore here and directed that the trial be completed in six months.

The controversial actress faces as many as 26 cases, filed by various pro-Tamil outfits, for her remarks allegedly denigrating Tamil women in an interview on pre-marital sex to the India Today magazine in September 2005.
