10 Indian films to be screened at 14th Jeonju fest

As many as 10 Indian films, including those in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Bengali, will be screened at the 14th Jeonju International Film Festival, starting in South Korea Thursday.

As many as 10 Indian films, including those in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Bengali, will be screened at the 14th Jeonju International Film Festival, starting in South Korea Thursday.

Nine films, including Tamil movies "Neerparavai" and "Azhagar Samiyin Kuthirai", three Hindi movies - Hansal Mehta's "Shahid", Ajay Bahl's "B.A. Pass" and Ashim Ahluwalia's "Miss Lovely", one Malayalam film "Color of Sky", directed by Bijukuma Damodaran and one Bengali film "Untitled" by Caesar Das, will feature in the Beyond Bollywood section of the fest.

Two other films also to be featured in the special category include Manipuri film "Leipaklei" by Aribam Syam Sharma and Indian documentary "When Hari Got Married", directed by Ritu Sarin and Tenzing Sonam.

Prashant Nair's Hindi debut film "Delhi in a Day" will be screened in the category called Cinema Palace.

The festival opens Thursday and will continue till May 5. Canadian film "Foxfire" will open the festival, while Saudi Arabian film "Wadjda" will be the closing film.
