N, I am not too sure of vandu's stand here. I mean, c'mon for any normal parent, it wouldn't be easy , to see a guy comes to his own house, lock his daughters room, and later gets informed that his daughter is now engaged, c'mon , that too right under his nose.
He is brow beaten by the ladies of his house, without giving him time to let go of his ideologies, beliefs, pride about his culture. Both R&B and II j, have not made it easy for him to handle the tsunami , in his life. He is feeling swallowed and swamped . He is self sympathizing , alone that none of the ladies in his life has worked their way around it. He has had to agree for a date to suit his to be son in law 's convenience!!

For Appa, whatever is happening is wrong!! I wouldn't push him this much. He needs to be given time to overcome his resentment. He is of an era where, societal Norms and approval mattered, he definitely is going to blow a fuse if his daughter, is acting contrary to the upbringing he has given.If II would announce that she was pregnant and would deliver the kid in in the nine months immediately after marraige, he would be the first person to drop everything and be with his daughter. As that's his belief of the chronology of things to happen as related to marraige , sex and childbirth.

Like any middle class parent, he is insecure of any scandal, why should he believe the bhallas, he does not have the power or the financial clout to get away like Ranjan did.

Well, if his own daughters do not cut any slack, how is R&B expected to. ??? There I go ranting!!

Oh god !! The family history is terrible. Appa is going to fume during the dinner knowing all this. The dinner is going to be crazy 😆

For me the main thing in Sosy that attracted me to it was the texts from the beginning between II and R&B so unique , brought out their intelligence as well as yours Nisha , I just love them.
Then when you had R&B and II as book readers it totally hooked me on.
So when you have them in a book store texting i am all AAAw😳😳so perfect!!! loved it.

and i am even more in a gush mode when he walks with her cup and she goes on like usual.. like he walked with her shruti box so cute ..and for me thats the comfort level i totally find endearing!👏👏

I liked the small amit,chanchal colleague convo very to the point and i feel II's side is going to gush over him and his side is going to gush over her like Mihir thinks she is a catch :-)

1) A good II warrior verbal snub down by II to the chachu clan . I so want it

Felt a tad sad today. As fiery and passionate as this relationship is, it also has the potential to destroy them, more so II, because she carries her feelings unabashedly on her shoulders and is totally in sync with what she feels. R&B on the other hand considering his past doesn't want to acknowledge...or even if he does wants to protect his interest first at the same time trying to balance that out with hers...because he does care. Don't want them to compromise on what they both love - she her work and he his, but would also see them trying to work this out. I am sure there will be lots of heartbreaks and of course tones of TLC in the future. Way to go Nisha!

And realised the feel is TOTALLY different, reading the chapters back to back; with multitude of emotions spinning rapidly, surging and ebbing, chapter to chapter. It's a heady feeling where you don't pause to ponder, speculate varied relations emotions reactions...and instead greedily binge on the next update...

cannot imagine how addictive the novel is likely to be... Defo not a bedtime novel😆

At the risk of perhaps repeating thoughts in other wonderful reviews so far ...here I go with my bit summarising all that I read so far!

Appa's showdown with all his girls - just had to happen, no doubt he may mope regret and attempt peace (I'm assuming); but Nisha you have done perfect justice to how any middle-class father would react to such turn of events.

Amma's attempt to bring back things to normalcy - bang on there! She is the sensible one and is doing her bit. I think her toughest baby to handle here is Appa

R&B's impassivity with Excelsior is as profound as Chachu's impending evil ploys for the same. Marriage to R&B brings a lot onto II's plate, of which, now she has zilch awareness.

And then when she does fathom, that is perhaps what will bring on her maturity; which now is completely shrouded by the love blanket and counting and claiming kisses😆

She will continue to be R&B's brat, but will protect him, his interests (& his family) with, I believe, an intense ferocity, a glimpse of which we saw in the Appa -II-R&B fiasco.

R&B II - there IS progression and my! what progression! 😳Amazing! The text interchanges, the casual lover's banter- that's a massive leap! Very chirpy, pleasant, sexy, naughty romanticism ...

II is gradually drawing out R&B from his monosyllable responses; or at least attempting to ; okay, should give to her, the girl is getting somewhere😆

II & R&B chutti negotiations - R&B spoke! He did attempt to give some explanation. That's a big one, Bet he had never had to/wanted to account for any of his actions to anyone since his Ma's death. That vouches for his commitment.

And their negotiation skills...really 6 weeks down to 3 weeks...kya haggling skills !!

I loved II-Ranjan convo. I still cant imagine him cheating his wife😭 but at least someone in the house would verbally claim his love for her😆. I am officially quitting to guess R&B and also refusing to be moved by him until he does something substantial *in dharna mode*. Okay so I am super dooper ecstatic that the choclates were for her. * m trying hard not to be moved and act inscrutable* guy giving gal chocs always has me bad.😆
