Aamir Dalvi :Judges shatter your confidence’

Aamir Dalvi has been in the television industry for around 10 years now.

It's been quite a ride for him. "I made my entry in this industry in 1999. In 2002, I took a break for three years and worked in a call center. In 2005, I returned to TV," says Aamir. Today, he is playing one of the main characters in Paresh Rawal's production Main Aisi Kyun Hoon and has an interesting role in Annu Ki Ho Gayee Wah Bhai Wah. "I feel comedy is my forte due to my theatre training, although before this, I never did comedy on TV. But Annu... is turning out well for me," points out Aamir.

And what about reality shows? "I would love to take part in reality shows provided they don't humiliate me. Seriously, the amount of humiliation happening on these shows is disheartening. When a performer steps on stage, he knows his capabilities and has confidence in himself. These judges just shatter your confidence. I think anybody with self-respect wouldn't want to be humiliated like that," he avers.

Television apart, Aamir is into off-road biking. "It helps me unwind. I also make sure I exercise thrice a week," he says. And he's a devoted family person as well. "My wife and children are my lifeline and keep me going," he adds.
