Money.
That's what drives everyone in the final analysis, whether in the glamour world
of acting or the hard grind of scripting and producing. Cashin' In sits down with
TV celebs to know well they handle their financial matters, and tracks their spending
patterns.
It
is ironical. The Dill Mill Gayye actor Mayank Anand understands the importance
of money but at the same time is a huge spendthrift.
Let's try and unravel
his 'money' mind.
How important is money for you?
It is very important. If I had to measure the importance of money in my life, I would rate it as 11/10.
Are you an impulsive buyer?
I love to shop. I blow money on shopping whenever
I have an off. I believe in hard earning and spending even harder.
What
are the investments you have made?
I have only invested in myself. I
invest in art, books, different courses, painting and travelling.
What
is your most expensive purchase?
A Honda City car I bought for Rs eight
lakhs four years ago.
Do you feel financially secure?
I don't
feel financially secure because acting as a profession is uncertain. I have many
things to do now.
Who handles your expenses?
I mishandle my
expenses.
What was your first salary? What you did with it?
It
was $ 240. I earned it by doing a summer job when I was studying in Chicago. I
handed it to my mom and she still has not used it. She has kept it like a memorable
gift.
How much money do you carry every day?
I carry Rs. 4,000 to 5,000 every day. I know it is a lot of money to carry on a daily basis. I hope no one comes to steal it after reading this.
Do you invest in
the stock market?
No ways. It is too much of a headache.
Any advice for investors?
Invest in me and I will get you good returns!
