Hansa there were no Hindu organisations par se opposing the movie.😊
Only some Rajput sects and I think one must give them benefit of doubt....tumhe nahi lagata?
Don't get me wrong....we all know here that I love this movie...but then it's just that....a movie!!
But if there is someone looking at it for "history lesson" or trying to find factual 'history' in it....they will be highly disappointed!
Reason being that it's account from a historical period of our History, but fictional NOT factual.....!!
Certain Historians argue that Rajputana community always cosidered Raja Bharmal, Jodha's father a traitor who set a very "bad" precedent of "trading" his daughter for his kingdom.....and we all can see why....and how!
If he was fair to Sujamal, then he could have unitedly fought with the Mughals.
In our History of Rajputana that timeline, there was the most respected Maharana Pratap who never accepted Akbar as ruler of India, and fought Akbar all his life, infact even his son who was exiled in the Aravalli hills and who was very badly treated and all his sons ruthlessly killed by the Mughals.
I have read it that some scholars argue that there was some possibility that Maharana could have become friends with Akbar but in the siege of Chittor when Akbar killed 30,000 civilian, unarmed residents of Chittor, because they refused to convert to Islam left a lasting impression on Maharana's mind and he decided he could not bow to such an injustice and cruelty.
I know that the Hindu warrior code was to refrain from attacking a non-combatant or a person who has laid down his weapons.
In that sense Rajput community thinks that the facts have been played around too much, which though is true.
But we can watch this as movie.....enjoy it's droooool factor and move forward....
But at the same time movie DOES play a very important factor in our upcoming generations who are more impressionable and have very little clue of true History....in that sense we can see why showing history..."as is" is important.
Though here to I will argue....what is History....if not written by the winners....it's after all the percetion of just the writer.
If you read experts from Abul Fazal's Akbernama who was Akbars very close and good friend, and most citied, you will see that Akbars' reign is shown the golden period and bestest time of Indian history....and you start questioning it's accuracy........
Just a viewpoint...feel free to disagree and argue..........😊
