The Zahir is an interesting Book. The style which Paulo Coelho adopts is shatteringly different from his style in The Alchemist.
The Alchemist, perhaps hs best and the most famous of his works undoubtedly, is a delightful book that will fill your hearts, overwhelm u with the sheer power of simplicity.
I don't thing The Alchemist is a complex Book, but who knows..Maybe simple is complex!
As most of Coelho's Books, This one too is about 'Pilgrimage', added to this is Love, Loss, epilepsy(the higher energy) and of course Obsession.
But I will agree on The Zahir being quite a complex Book. The Narrator, whose wife has disappeared without leaving a trace one fine day, is driven to a Morbid and sordid obsession to know why she left, which takes control of his being.
and then slowly, he is forced to re-examine himself. To 'find himself' in order to find her.
From the cynical discourses to the higher talks about the flow of energy of Love, The Zahir makes quite a jerky, crazy yet satisfying read.

Wow...atleast some1 gets it😳👏..I totally agree....this is why these days I'm now only reading Paulo's books😃i'm total fascinated by him😊

Zahir falls under "OBESSESION" category... and this book realy justifies it👏 and this book helped me aswell in my life...aste wrtier in book I too had lost myself and by reading my book I started to find myself 😳 this book is close to me, it really fits in my life...😳 this book is little compilicated, not an easy book to understand. But brilliant ofcurse👏 and in this book ( i dont think u reached there) bt Paulo tells about "ACCOMODADAR" and its really good..do read it luks and tell me about it.😃

^^I didnt reply here without completing the book Yaarr...
I never arrive on a theory or understanding on any note of a books without completing the whole book, I feel thats very unfair.
I read the Accomodadar part, But I have to say that I felt that The writer was taking his life too tough. Life isnt too tough u know, U always make it tough thinking it is.
I have never Lost Myself..I believe Thats the only thing I grip on to all the time adamantly...Once I slacken my grip on my most precious belonging, My self, I have lost everything...Nothing can bring it back to me if I have LOST it...
None of us have lost ourselves, we just Feel that we have...That feeling, I try and repel off as much as I can...
What I enjoyed much more was the part when the author speaks about the 143 inches or 4 feet n 8.5 inches length of Railway tracks...Frustration happns, dont lose urself venting ur frustration and giving it more space than required...It bcums a Zahir.
But another thing abt the book which pleased me was the un-despotic approah...that is to say...Not a book which warns u or forbids u but a book which tells u just to open urself to the possibilities of the world

One of the things I liked most about the book is the "acceptance with understanding" decision that the narrator comes at the end of the day when he finally meets Esther. A Life based not on Dominance, not even on partnership (for this is no "deal") but on understanding.

Well, I think u r right, at that point Writer was taknig life though...as u said it depends on thinking....

Well, know the feeling of being lost or losing yourself😳 and I know its a feeling but really bad feeling

haan that tracking theory😳..it took me while to understand ity😆 but finally came through😃

haan life is based on understanding and this is what am trying to do these days😳
