Next scene starts off with Ranbir and Kanya back at the Nanda house. Kanya decides to go back with Ranbir, but only because she's started to like him, and because she's confused about his sudden change in behaviour. She goes back alone (Shanta Tayi is gone for a vacation.! ahaha. she can't ruin any more moments. I will* break my TV if she does. I swear I'm tired of her being a goddamn kabab mein haddi.. Don't get me wrong, ST is amazing, but either Ranya need like a HUGE lock on their room, or ST needs a vacation.!) After they get home, Mallika takes Kanya's aarti, expresses her joy that once again she's home. The rest of the Nandas are obviously backbiting – nothing new here, and wondering what's happened to Mallika, Kanya and Ranbir.
Ranbir grabs a hold of Kanya's hands and in a very serious voice says: Kanya, chalo, kamre mein.
With that Ranbir drags his wife back into his room, while Mallika is left smiling after them.
In the room, Kanya notices that her stuff has been brought back and placed in its respective spot. Without Shanta Tayi though Kanya feels defenseless and finds herself looking outside of the bedroom window, her arms crossed over her chest in a guarded position. Ranbir heads to the bathroom but before he does, he looks at Kanya who has a puzzled and a sad expression on her face.
Ranbir (to himself): yaar, yeh hi reason ke waje se main ab tak ladkion se dur baghta tha. Innko samhaj na bilkul ek musibat hai. Jab se Kanya wapis aayi hai, kuch zayadha ki chup hai. kuch na kuch tho ghadbar hai. Pata lagana zaroori hai. Yaar ISSHI LIYE ishq nahi karna chahiye. (Ranbir pauses.) Ishq? shitt.! Ab yeh kya huva hai mujko? (Ranbir looks at himself in the bathroom mirror, and stops brushing his teeth) Main Kanya se pyar tho nahi karta. hmm, sach hai ke woh khoobsurat hai. mom ko bhi achi lagti hai. Magar pyar? uss 2 by 2 se? Mein tho sach mein mara gaya. Sab Aditya Bhai ki wajese huva. AHHH. Phir bhi. Who itni bhi buri nahi. Mere pehle pyaar kya liye teekh hi hai. (and with that Ranbir smiles to himself, and splashes water on his face. after he pats his face dry with a towel, he goes back into the room.)
Meanwhile, Kanya's thinking to herself.: Maine wapis aane ke liya haan kyun kaha? Ussne mujko chaanta mara. zaleel kar ke ghar se nikhala, aur ussko EK chot kya lag gayi, main usske baath mane lagi? Kya ho gaya hai tujko Kanya. Woh Ranbir Nanda hai. Mujh jaise ladki se woh kabhi bhi pyar nahi karsakta. Meri hi maath mari gayi thi ke mein uss ke saath shaadi ke liye razi ho gayi thi. (she exhales loudly). Maine pyaar bhi kiya tho kaise jangalee saandh se kiya? Kyun mein unn normal ladkion mein se nahi jinko normal INSAAN se pyaar hota hai.
Just then Ranbir emerges wearing only a wife-beater and a towel over his waist. He slowly walks over to where Kanya's standing, and stands a couple of steps away from her, just watching her look out the window. Several minutes pass, and it looks to Ranbir as if she's in deep thought. He notices Kanya shaking her head at one point, and then scrunching up her nose. Although Ranbir finds that incredibly cute, and wants to pull her in a tight hug, he just takes pleasure in watching her. After a couple more minutes, Ranbir mumble something.
Ranbir: kuch kaha tumne?
Kanya: (she jumps) oh, nahi.
Ranbir: I see. tum waise kiske bare mein sonch rahi thi?
Kanya: kya matlab? Mein kisi ke bhi bare mein nahi sonch rahi thi.
As Kanya tries to move away from Ranbir and heads for the opposite side of the room, Ranbir grabs her by her right arm, and hurls her back at him. As a means to steady herself, she ends up grabbing Ranbir's collar with both hands, and finds herself flat against Ranbir's hard chest. Ranbir takes this opportunity to secure her body around his. After a minute of not looking up, finally Kanya lifts her eyes to find Ranbir's eyes lit with passion. Trying to worm her way away from Ranbir she wiggles to get out.
This obviously does nothing to help Ranbir with the fervor that's been building up since he witnessed Kanya with those goons.
Ranbir: oh God Kanya. If you want to kill me, I suggest you use a gun.
Kanya: ky-kya matlab?
Ranbir: Matlab yeh ke agar tum chahati ho ke main tumko chordoon, toh mujhse kaho. Trying to wiggle yourself out is not helping my attraction for you.
Kanya (gulps) attraction?
Ranbir: (he holds her even tighter) haan. (he looks at Kanya and smiles) hate guru toh ab tak hoon, magar shayad tumhare liye ek exception banana padega.
At a loss at what she should say, Kanya sticks to a simple: oh.
When Ranbir lowers his lips to Kanya's she freezes up in his arms. since she's still a little confused over what's happening, she doesn't know what to do. Not wanting to scared
Kanya away, Ranbir pulls himself back, and while gently rubbing Kanya's back, he whispers:
Ranbir: heyy.. sshh, relax.. daro maath. main kuch bhi nahi karonga jho tum nahi chahati. Okay? You can tell me to stop whenever you'd like. Teekh hai?
When Kanya nods her head, he once again lowers his head and shares a passionate kiss with Kanya. After several moments when they both pull back, Ranbir picks Kanya up, and slowly places her on the bed. Just as he's about to join her on the bed, his cell phone rings. (Don't kill me!)
Kanya looks up at Ranbir from the bed to see what he'd do, while he ignores the phone call. as he undoes the knot of the towel on his waist, the phone rings again. Once again, Ranbir ignores the phone. While he removes the wife beater from his chest, the phone keeps on ringing. Unable to continue with such a distraction he grabs his cell phone so he can chuck it out of sight, when he gets a text message from a worker from his news channel. as his eyes skim over the message, he stops what he's doing for the message reads: Mujhe pata hai Natasha kaha par hai. Jaaldi reply back karo.
