Hanif Hilal breaks his silence on his break-up with Pooja Bedi

Bedi and Hanif Hilal met during the first season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
Hanif soon progressed from being Pooja's choreographer to being her

What was the red flag that ended your relationship?
Nothing in particular. It's just that both of us reached a point where we didn't see each other as prospective spouses.
After
investing so much time and emotion into a person, if you realise that
then it means there's something missing. It's sad that something so
beautiful has come to an end.
Whose decision was it to split?
It
was a very difficult decision. But it was made mutually. We both
realised we weren't moving ahead in the direction we wanted to. That's
when we decided taking a step backwards was a good idea.
Was the age difference the reason?
Not at all. Age was never an issue. It had nothing to do with our decision.
But you still hang out together? Is it difficult to be friends with your ex?
It
can be if you are not sure about what you want. In my case I don't want
to lose Pooja as a friend. She's an amazing woman and I respect her a
lot. Apart from that I love her kids and enjoy their company. I don't
think it's worth giving up on friendship just because you've
romantically moved away.
So, you are single and ready to mingle?
Well
Pooja and me are still friends and we hang around. But I don't know if
am ready for something new. I want to take this time out to work out a
future in the films. I think I am in the best of my shape, and mentally
ready to take on something challenging.
