Hey guys! I normally don't post in this forum but I love watching KS,
reading your discussions on a regular basis, & am a huge JB fan! Here's an
article I came across today (sorry if its been posted before)...
Lead protagonist of 'Kasamh Se' to leave
ZEE TV's flagship drama 'Kasamh Se' produced by Balaji Telefilms has
been hit for six after one of the lead actresses announced her desire to
quit.
Roshni Chopra who has played the character of Pia since the soap
launched two and half years ago has had enough of the storylines
constantly being centered on Prachi Desai who plays Bani.
Roshni's character is due to be phased out by the end of this year.
According to one of Roshni's close friend, "Roshni acknowledges that
Kasamh Se gave her career the initial thrust. So, she doesn't want to ditch
Balaji without giving them ample notice. She also has devised a good plan
for it. She wants her character to slowly fade away with each passing
episode. In this way, the viewers will not get a shock when her character
is finally out of the show. This is a strategy to make her task a bit easier.
She is trying to work it out with the production house."
Roshni has been busy with her 25-day a month shoot for 'Kasamh Se' as
well as filming ZEE Music's programme 'Cinemascope'.
When Mumbai Mirror contacted the star, she said, "I have been doing
Kasamh Se for the last two years and I won't deny that I owe a lot to the
show. But, as a creative individual, everyone wants to satisfy their creative
instincts and I am no exception. I want to do something new in life."
"I have recently endorsed a jewellery brand. I have to give 25 days to
Kasamh Se and a few days to Cinemascope which I am hosting. I hardly
have any time for anything else. Though I have been offered a lot of new
projects, and they are very tempting, at the end of the day I will always be
loyal to Kasamh Se for giving me stardom," she added.
'Kasamh Se' was one of the first soaps that turned around ZEE TV's
fortunes over two years ago, after competition from STAR Plus' shows
'Kyunki Saansβ¦' and 'Kaun Banega Crorepati'. To date, 'Kasamh Se'
remains one of the most watched soaps on Indian television.
