Kasauti's Shweta Tiwari, estranged from husband Raja Chaudhary, has found solace in Bhojpuri actor Manoj Tiwari, friends close to him said.
Shweta moved out of her home in Goregaon over the weekend after filing a complaint of abuse and harassment against Raja. "The Bhojpuri industry has long been aware of the proximity between Manoj and Shweta," the sources said.
The two met during the shooting of 'Kab Ai Angana Hamar', which was being shot in Bihar, and wrapped up its schedule in April. "One reason for Raja's anger with Shweta was Manoj," the friends said, "he told her not to sign any more films opposite him." When she disregarded this and signed a new film with Manoj, another row erupted between her and Raja."
The film was announced two weeks ago in Khandala. Manoj Tiwari's Bhojpuri character is almost always a simple country bumpkin who wins because of his goodness but his friends said that he was "as much of a cat" as Raja.
Returning from her 'Kab Ai Angana Hamar' shoot, Shweta had referred to Manoj on her website as being "really sweet and protective. Throughout the shoot he made sure that I wasn't troubled or bothered. "In fact," she added, "when fans would come chanting and screaming his name, he'd tell them not to scare me or I'd never come back to Bihar!"
Raja's friendship with Manoj has soured rapidly this year. Raja, who is also a producer of Bhojpuri movies, spoke of his pain over Shweta not using his surname despite being married for eight years.
