The reality show will have stand-up comedians teaching TV actors how to make viewers laugh and win.
One more comedy reality show is soon to hit the small screen. Titled 'Comedy Circus' (produced and created by Optimystix for Sony) the show will have a stand-up comedian teaming up with a television star in an attempt to make people laugh. The comedians will teach the celebrities the dos and don'ts of stand-up comedy. The duo will then perform a skit on various themes. The team that makes the best attempt, amongst eight such teams, will win.
The 13-episode show will have one team being eliminated every week. The results will be based on the judges' verdict and viewers' votes. Expected participants on the show include actors Mandira Bedi, Varun Badola, Ketaki Dave, Ali Asgar, Urvashi Dholakia and Kiran Karmarkar and stand-up comedians Kashif, Deepak Raja, Khayali and Shakil.
Ali Asgar shares, "The show is based on an interesting concept—to make people laugh. It gives the participants an opportunity to create their own gags, write their own script and perform."
Ketaki Dave, another participant says, "It would be fun to laugh and make others laugh."
Albert Almeida, business head of Sony television says that the show would be telecast after the closing episode of 'Indian Idol 3'
