Illegal substances = Ban? Your view

Posted: 17 years ago

Hey guys,

There is much controversy these days in sports about illegal substances being used.

For example Rio ferdinand got an 8 month ban for missing a drug test as he forgot, but he later gave a sample but it was clear.....but was stiled banned from the game.

However, there have been many other sportsmen being tested postive for banned substances in ......and getting away with it.......in some cases.

If a sports person has been tested positve for a banned substance should they be banned from the sport and if yes, how long for?

So lets have a healthy discussion! 😛

hmm, well if the certain substance helps them in the sport they should definitly be banned

if has no effect on their performance then why should they care 😳

Its simple,

They should be banned for longer. This is simply cheating.

And it is not fair that Rio was banned 4 8 minths, n he didnt even take drugs or illegal stuff wen he had a test the nxt day.

And others who take it, get away scott free.

These people should be banned for abt 2-3 years.

i think it should be on the severity of the drug, for instance if they took it because they were recooperating from injury not to bad a small ban
if they did it to win like sprinter ben johnson strip him of title an ban from sport forever
