Aishwarya Rai's Taj Mahal - why did it get shelved?

Wasn't the so-called queen of Bollywood supposed to do a period film on Taj Mahal?
But she is a bad luck.  She cursed Bharat Bala and the film got shelved.
Then, there was talk of her doing the same film with Ben Kingsley.

She was also supposed to romance her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan at one time.

Can anyone care to tell me the story of why she didn't finish the movie?
