Quaint Part 1

Ranav was the Prince of the Rakshas clan.His parents Valak and Pataali were pressurizing him to get married.

Valak:Ranav...why are you not getting married?

Pataali:If you are not interested to marry a Rakshasi you marry a human being.

Ranav:Oh really maa?Which human being will marry a demon?

Ranav's sister Yamini said:But no one knows that you are a demon or we are demons.

Ranav:I don't want to hide my identity and marry.And I don't feel like marrying any rakshasi.

Pataali:Enough Ranav.We waited a lot.Not anymore.You have to find a girl.You choose any girl.We will accept her.But according to your horoscope if you don't get married in 2 months you will lose your powers.

Valak:Unfortunately that's the curse you got from a sage.

Yamini:What a stupid curse!

Valak:It's my fault.When Ranav was a baby Sage Vishwanath had come to visit me.He visited me because I was the only good demon that time.But since I was busy looking after Ranav as Pataali had gone out,I could not attend the sage Vishwanath.So he cursed me that Ranav will lose his rakshas powers when he turns 30.I cried and apologized to him.I begged him for a solution.He forgave me and gave a solution that before you turn 30,you will have to get married.

Ranav thought:Oh no...then I have to find a girl.But I don't love anyone.Then how can I get married?

Suddenly he remembered someone.

He said in his mind:Sofia!

Ranav was in his office.Sofia is his PA.

Ranav:Sofia,can you do a work for me?I will pay you extra money.

Sofia:Sure Sir.What work should I do?

Ranav:You have to marry me.

Sofia was shocked:What are you saying sir?

Ranav:It will be a contract marriage.The astrologer told me to get married in 2 months.Otherwise I will be in danger.

Sofia:Then why don't you get married in real?

Ranav:Because I don't love anyone.Without love,I can't marry anyone.You marry me.A few days after our contract marriage we will get divorced.Are you ready?

Sofia:Yes Sir.

Ranav smiled.

Sofia:But I have a demand Sir.

Ranav was stunned:Demand?Why?I will be paying you extra money.

Sofia:But that's not enough.I am an orphan and I have no home to live now.Since I did'nt pay rent on time the house owner asked me to leave the house.So I need a home.So you please allow me to stay in your house today itself.

Ranav:But before marriage how can I let you stay in our house?

Sofia:I don't know.If you want me to marry you,you have to do that.

Ranav thought:I sought Sofia's help as I knew her financial problems.But I did'nt expect such a demand from her.

Ranav:Ok.But after divorce you have to look for another home.

Sofia:You will be paying me extra.So I will find a nice house.

Ranav smiled.

Ranav:Now onwards you call me Ranav,not sir.Because we should look convincing as lovers.

Sofia:Ok.

Ranav went back home.

Ranav:I found a girl.

Valak,Pataali and Yamini were surprised.

Yamini:You found a girl so fast.How is it possible?

Ranav:It's not fast.I had feelings for a girl.But I was not sure about her feelings for me.Today I realised that she also loves me.So I decided to marry her.

Valak:That's a very happy news.

Pataali:Who is the girl?

Ranav:Sofia!

Sofia came from behind.

All were surprised.

Yamini:Sofia?You?We did'nt know what you and Ranav were doing behind us.

Sofia:What did you mean Yaminiji?We are in pure love.You are talking as if you caught us red handed.

Pataali:Whatever!Ranav atleast liked Sofia.That's nice.Sofia...Ranav rejected thousands of girls and selected you.You are lucky Sofia.

Sofia:Yes..I am lucky to get Ranav.He is very sweet and scaring.

Sofia smiled at Ranav.

Sofia:If there was no Ranav I would have been homeless.

Sofia looked at Ranav emotionally.

Valak:Homeless?

Ranav:Yes.Sofia has no home to live.So today onwards she will stay here.

Yamini:But before marriage....

Pataali:Why not?Sofia can stay here.She is Ranav's girl.Ranav's girl is like our daughter.

Valak:Exactly.

Ranav and Sofia smiled.

Sofia started staying there.

Sofia got excited when it started raining.She admired the rain through the window and without controlling the excitement she went out to be in the rain.Like a small innocent child she jumped in the puddle.Somebody started laughing.She looked at that person.It was Ranav.

Ranav:You are really funny.You are jumping like a frog.

Sofia frowned.

Ranav said laughing:Ok..sorry sorry.I am going.You enjoy.But don't get drenched too much and catch fever.Bye!

Ranav walked away.

Sofia sat on the log.

Sofia:Will I get fever if I get drenched more?

Suddenly she heard a voice:You will not catch fever.I will protect you.

She looked at that person.

Hey I rememberedsomething, I have one more ff to request, like u know a bad demon falling in loven then turning good, choose any couple like Ranav Bela. Ranav seeking Sofia’s helpand she asking to live in his house, but how will she adjust? No single human isthere. Sofia sounds so convincing. You have written Ranav smiled at Ranav, sorrywho smiled at who? I don’t understand. Patali already considers Sofia her daughter.Sofia jumping in the rain and Ranav joking on her was funny. Wonder who’s the person.Waiting for next. Perfect pics.

Quaint Part 2

 Sofia:Will I get fever if I get drenched more?

Suddenly she heard a voice:You will not catch fever.I will protect you.

She looked at that person.It was a huge frog.Sofia smiled.

It covered Sofia with a large leaf like a shield.Sofia smiled.

Suddenly she became dull.

Sofia:Raghav...you leave.If anyone sees us like this,I will be thrown out.I will be homeless.

The frog Raghav said:Ok.I will leave now.Take care of yourself.

Sofia:Yes.

The frog left from there.

Sofia ran to her room.

The dining table was arranged grandly.

Sofia was amazed by it.

Sofia:Wow!What a grand dining table and what all dishes!

Yamini said in a sarcastic tone:Guess you have not eaten good food ever.So you are excited.

Sofia became dull.

Pataali:Yamini...will you please shut up?Sofia...you can eat anything which you want.

Sofia smiled:Thank you aunty.

Sofia started eating like crazy.

Ranav felt weird while Yamini felt like laughing.

After everyone left the dining room Ranav confronted Sofia.

Ranav:Sofia...you were eating too much.

Sofia:The food was so tasty that I could not control myself.

Ranav:You need to control yourself.Because after 2 months you will have to leave.So don't get used to such expensive food.

Sofia:Till I leave I can eat well.Right?I believe in enjoying the present.

Ranav got irritated.

Ranav thought:I hope she does'nt get used to all comforts and refuse to leave.

Sofia went to the Church and prayed:Jesus!Thank you for giving me a safe place to protect myself.

2 frogs jumped towards Sofia.

Sofia looked at them.They turned into human beings.

Sofia smiled:Raghav!Prachi!I am surprised to see both of you here.

Raghav:How can we not follow you?We are best friends.

Sofia smiled.

Sofia:I have only both of you.

Sofia became emotional.

Raghav and Prachi became upset.

Raghav:Don't be upset Sofia.We are there for you.

Sofia:That's the only blessing I have.But I am worried whether you both will be harmed for being with me.

Prachi:Don't worry about that Sofia.We will protect ourselves.But Sofia..you are staying with a family now.Are you safe there?

Sofia:100 percent.That's why I got ready to stay with them.I have been working for them since past few months.So I know them quite well.They are nice.

Raghav:But what if they are double faced and shady?

Prachi:I am also worried about that.So be careful Sofia.

Sofia:Yes.I will be careful.

Raghav and Prachi smiled.

Raghav and Prachi were sitting together.

Prachi:I feel so nice to see Sofia.I am relieved that she is safe and happy now.

Raghav:Ya.She looks happier now.Maybe the people around her are making her happy.

Prachi:I also think so.

They kept talking and Prachi felt sleepy.She laid her head on Raghav's lap.

Raghav caressed her head lovingly.

Sofia was watching the cartoon 'The Frog Prince'.Ranav felt like laughing.

Ranav:That day when you were jumping in the puddle itself I found you childish.Now after seeing you watch cartoon I can confirm that you are a child.

Sofia:I am not a child.I am watching this cartoon to see the frog prince.He is so handsome.

Ranav laughed.

Ranav:You find this frog handsome?Then marry a frog.

Sofia walked towards Ranav and stared at him.

Sofia:If I am destined to marry a frog Prince I will marry him.I don't even mind marrying a demon if he is good at heart.

Ranav was stunned.

They shared an eye lock.

Ranav and  Sofia realised how close they were standing to each other.They moved away from each other.

Ranav thought:Does she know that I am a demon?No way.If she knows that I am a demon she won't stay here.

Ranav:Why did you say that you will even marry a demon as if I am demon?

Sofia:When did I say that you are a demon?With you I am only doing contract marriage.I just said that I can marry any creature if they are good at heart.

Ranav was relieved.

Ranav got ready to go out.

Sofia smiled at him.

Ranav asked her in a rough tone:Why are you smiling at me?

Sofia:You are looking handsome like the Frog Prince.

Ranav could not believe that Sofia admired his looks.

Ranav:What?

Sofia:You look very handsome Ranav.

Ranav:I know that I am handsome.But why the hell did you compare me to a frog?

Sofia:Because I like frogs.

Ranav:It's the first time I am seeing a fan girl of frogs.Strange!

Sofia:That Sofia.

Sofia smiled winking at him and said:And you are too cute like a frog Ranav.

Unknowingly Ranav smiled.

He thought:She is crazy,but cute.

They arranged Ranav and Sofia's engagement.

Sofia wore a western dress as she is a Christian.

Raghav and Prachi came there.

Sofia:Ranav,they are my best friends Raghav and Prachi.They are a couple.

Ranav:Nice to meet you both.

Raghav-Prachi:All the best for the future.

Ranav:Thank you.

Ranav-Sofia exchanged rings.

They played music.

Ranav and Sofia started dancing together.During the dance unknowingly they got attracted towards each other and blushed.

Raghav:I also noticed it.If they really love each other it's nice.Our Sofia will be safe forever.

Prachi:Yes.I hope that demon does not come back and spoil Sofia's happy life.

Raghav:Yes.I also hope so.

Sofia was in the kitchen.

Sofia:God knows how to cook.

Sofia lit the gas strove with the match stick and threw it down.

  The fire started spreading it and Sofia's dress was about to catch fire.Suddenly Ranav came and pushed her away from the fire.

Ranav:Be careful Sofia.The fire would have eaten you up.

Sofia was shocked.She remembered the blunder of throwing away the match stick.

Ranav:When you don't know kitchen work why are you even trying it?

Sofia:I thought of trying it out of curiosity. I am sorry.

Ranav:Nonsense!

Ranav poured water into it and the fire vanished.

Sofia:Ranav...thank you for saving me.

Ranav smiled.

Ranav thought:I saved you because I can't imagine you to be in danger.I saved you for myself.

Sofia was walking.Her leg tripped and before she fell down Ranav caught her.

They got lost in each other's eyes.

Ranav thought:Something in Sofia is attracting me towards her.But I should control myself as it's only a marriage contract between us.

Ranav released her from her hand.

Sofia became emotional.

She thought:I feel so secure in Ranav's arms.He makes me wish to be in his arms forever.But I should not think like that as ours is only contract marriage.

Ranav:What are you thinking Sofia?

Sofia:Nothing Ranav.

Sofia walked away.

Ranav thought:Why do I feel that Sofia is hiding something?I maybe thinking too much.

Pataali bought a necklace for Sofia to wear for the wedding.To show it to her,Pataali walked to Sofia's room.On the way she saw Sofia walking towards the swimming pool.Pataali followed her there.What she saw there shocked her.

Amazing update... greatly written

Part 1

Congratulations for your first fairy take fanfiction. Valak and Pataali forcing Ranav to marry was like typical Indian parents prescribing their children to get married. Ranav agreeing to marry to retain his powers is like a compromise. Ranav proposing to Sofia and the latter agreeing to marry him on a condition to give her shelter reminded me of pardes movie where the girl agrees to stay in her fiance's house. Good that Ranav, Valak, and Pataali allowed Sofia to stay with them. Sofia playing in the rain and getting wet looked like Kashish enjoying the rain. I wonder who told Sofia that she won't get fever regardless how much time she spends playing in the rain.
