Story starts in USA, there's celebration of India day and they are honouring Dr.Mandeep Brar for his contribution in USA and he announces construction of a new hospital. He then recalls how his father collected money from villagers to make him study in abroad and had a dream of making a hospital after he returns, but when he returns, he returns with a wife. As his father has already promised to khushwant that Mandeep would marry his sister prabhjot, his father felt cheated that Mandeep married a foreign girl though he knew that he has to come back and marry prabhjot. Due to anger Dilpreet singh(Maan's father) tells him to go away and never return and closes the door on his face.
Maan's daughter amrita is trying her best to be successful in every field because her grandfather has cursed them in the letter he sent that maan would never be successful nor his kids would, but in University her thesis gets disapproved by one of the five professor, she found it that the professor is from hosiyarpur, she decides to go there without telling her parents, she gets to hosiyarpur and meets veer(Dilpreet found him at gurudwara and adopted him as his son), as she is new to India veer takes her to his home, that house turns out to be his grandfather's house. Riya, daughter of Randeep(2nd son of Dilpreet singh)has also arrived at Dilpreet house.Veer gets to know the real identity of amrita. As amrita's thesis isn't approved she has to stay in hosiyarpur and found it that Dilpreet is her grandfather, then veer and Amrita decides to break the barrier between Mandeep and Dilpreet. Meanwhile Rana is in trouble and ashtha helps him during trouble, Rana thanks her but doesn't knows that she is his brother's wife. During celebration Dilpreet has emotional breakdown and gets unconscious, amrita calls maan for help. Riya finds that amrita is Maan's daughter, riya blackmails amrita of revealing her identity if she doesn't brings her a NOC signed by Maan which can end Rana's financial crises. Khushwant comes at Dilpreet's house and taunts him about Maan, Dilpreet gets angry and insult maan, seeing this amrita gets upset and leaves the house and meet Rana. She gets to know that Rana is her uncle. Meanwhile veer and Amrita decides to help each other. Veer ask Dilpreet to call Maan to solve the confusion but later he refuses. Meanwhile ashtha gets to know about amrita being in india and asks her to return, amrita tells the truth to ashtha and gives her a virtual tour of the house. Dilpreet gets a news that Maan transferred dollars to his account, but it was khushwant trying to frame Maan. All gets to know this and goes to the house of the person who helped khushwant, a fight starts there and veer get stabbed.In new york ashtha tells maan to sign the NOC. Riya tells her father about her feelings towards Veer. Biji finds out amrita true identity and then has a video call with ashtha. Dilpreet confronts Rana because he got NOC signed behind his back. Amrita tells ashtha that she loves veer but thinks that veer and Riya loves each other. Amrita helps Dilpreet get the hospital land back. Nirmit forces veer to marry Riya and he agrees. In hosiyarpur there is bhumipujan and ashtha is seeing all this on video call and Maan gets to know that amrita is in india, he gets angry and tells amrita to come back. As amrita was going back to USA biji follows her and had a accident, so Maan tells her to come after biji gets well and decides to go to take amrita back himself. Warehouse having hospital equipments is set on fire by khushwant. Riya and Amrita tries to find evidence against him but amrita gets arrested and Maan gets to know that amrita got arrested because of Dilpreet and has a another misunderstanding. Maan gets khushwant arrested. Maan and biji are at gurudwara but biji refuses to see his face because of the vow dilpreet has given her so he's about to leave but biji scolds him and tells him to stay so his family is staying at Dilpreet's friend's house.
Villagers are angry because maan is back and tells Dilpreet to perform funeral of mandeep. Maan and Rana gets into argument and maan decides to leave. While biji goes to gurudwara to pray about her family's welfare but falls sick, Maan gets to know this and reaches there for her, while he's treating her she turns her face away, seeing this amrita tells Dilpreet that he's the reason behind all this and asks hime to take the vow back. Dilpreet takes the vow back and let's Maan and biji meet each other. Amrita burns her passport so that they can stay there, Maan agrees to stay back until a new passport arrives. There's party because maan is back.Kuku tells to perform funeral by night so Dilpreet asks for some time and tries to convey the message to maan but fails and Maan gets to know about the funeral thing and gets upset that his father was ready to do it and does his funeral by his own hands , meanwhile kuku's daughter gets into accident and her baby gets sick but ashtha saves her. Dilpreet gets to know that ashtha is his daughter in law and takes her to party place and tells kuku that the wife of the person who's funeral he want saved the child of his daughter, they feel bad and leave. After all this maan wants to leave but ashtha decides to stay. Dilpreet's haweli is on stake because he took money on that for equipments and now all equipments are burnt, Dilpreet has to pay save his haweli. Veer gets a offer of job from Australia. Veer ask Dilpreet to let him go but Dilpreet doesn't let him go as he is his only support. Maan gets to know all this and decides to help Dilpreet through rana. Some goons come at Dilpreet's house and takes Astha away, Dilpreet goes there to save her. Maan, Rana and veer also gets to know this and reaches there. While Dilpreet was untying ashtha, maan comes and saves both from fire. Dilpreet and Maan meets each other face to face after so many years. It's holi and biji and decides to reunite Maan and Dilpreet (DPS) but fails. Nimrit wants haweli to be on her name but riya gets to know this and tells her not to do, so she tries to demean Maan by transferring haweli on his name and create another misunderstanding. Rana gets to know this and tells her to say all this to DPS and bring maan back to the home. Maan doesn't agrees and biji tells him to do something as DPS is leaving, thus maan comes back at DPS's house and somehow manages to stop DPS.
Veer and Riya had engagement, maan thinks that DPS forces veer like he did to him. DPS tries to make veer and Amrita confess their love for each other but they are not confessing because of riya. There's wedding at DPS house of his friend's relative. DPS is about to get hit by the truck but Dollar comes and saves him. On asking his identity he tells his name is Mandeep can be called Maan, given by his father's sister, but no one likes this name so everyone calls him dollar and he has come to attend the wedding. Veer gets jealous on seeing amrita with dollar. DPS plan to make veer jealous by the help of dollar so he somehow confesses his love for amrita but amrita gets to know this plan and makes another plan of showing that she has moved on so that veer forgets her. Dollar starts loving amrita. Khushwant asks dollar to take away all jewellery form the brar's house to defame them inorder to save his mother. Ashtha gives her jewellery as the jewellery has got stolen to save their reputation. Later it's shown that dollar is khushwant's son. As Rana feels he haven't got much chance Maan decides to name the hospital after him as surprise and also makes him the hospital incharge. Khushwant changes the banner of Rana hospital to maan hospital and ruins Maan's surprise. Khushwant asks dollar to confess his love to amrita but amrita slaps him and tells she loves veer and veer also confesses. DPS asks riya to say no for wedding as veer and Amrita loves each other but nimrit tells her not change her decision as they always suffer due to Maan's family. Maan clears the misunderstanding regarding his marriage and then Maan and Dilpreet hugs each other. Riya is about to marry veer. Khushwant kidnaps Amrita and hides her somewhere, later veer, Maan and DPS find out about amrita's kidnapping and searches for her. Khushwant wanted dollar to save her but turns out veer, Maan and Dilpreet thinks that dollar did this and beats him badly. Amrita gets to know that dollar is khushwant's son. Riya is heartbroken as veer left her during wedding and she decides with dollar to fake a wedding to revenge against brar but khushwant fools them and they wed for real and gets to know that tavleen(mother of khushwant and prabhjot, wants revenge from brar because they ruined her daughter's life) did this. Rana goes to find khushwant angrily, biji calls maan so save rana because Rana went angrily. Rana beats khushwant but then khushwant takes gun out but maan saves Rana from get hit by a bullet. Some goons come and Rana and maan fights with them but all catch Maan and khushwant is about to stab maan but Rana fires a bullet which hits one of the goon and he dies, Rana gets anxious and maan hids him in a room in his house. Tavleen informs police about this but they didn't found Rana in the house as veer had hid him in a safe place later Rana's health starts to deteriorate as he had tried to commit suicide a day before. Maan says Rana can't be treated at home and need to taken hospital but the police was waiting outside brar's house for rana. Maan had no option but save rana he informs police of Rana being in the house. After Rana gets bit well maan informs him veer is taking all the blame. Maan tells him to surrender to police and he has proof of his innocence as he won't be able save veer if he gets in the jail, rana agrees. Next day maan tries to submit the proof in the police station but tavleen brings obstacles in between so stop him reaching the police station and she brings another proof of innocence of Rana and saves him and thus creates a rift between two brothers. DPS is angry with maan because he didn't saved Rana and tells him to leave and also tells biji to leave the house with maan if she cares more for her son.
Biji leaves India and goes with Maan's family to USA. Tavleen gets to know that veer is prabhjot's son and created a situation in which Dilpreet gets to know about beer's real identity. In USA Maan gets into financial problems as his CA dumped him, and now he's bank accounts are freezed and he is under a big debt. Veer and Amrita makes biji and DPS talk to each other on social media by making fake accounts. Biji gets to know about Maan's problem. Biji participates in a cooking competition so that the winning amount can help maan during the financial problem. Dilpreet fears that veer would leave him if he told him the truth. In the hospital building khushwant is running a drug business without anyone's knowledge. Khushwant drags rana into the business. Khushwant blackmails rana. Dilpreet gets to know about the business and suffers a heartattack, biji gets to know this and tells Maan to take her india as soon as possible. Dilpreet's condition is worst, Maan reaches there with biji and starts to operate DPS but DPS heartbeat stops. Maan Informs everyone but biji requests him to try and ashtha tells that there are chances that his heart starts beating again. Maan tries and starts crying and tells him to come back and says he's sorry for his actions, he won't do this again and they all will leave together happily and he won't leave and go but please come back. And miraculously DPS's heart starts beating again. Khushwant gets arrested and Dilpreet plans for amrita and veer's wedding. Meanwhile tavleen reveals veer's true identity to biji and warns that if she told him , she would separate veer and prabhjot. Veer gets to know about his real mother and decides not to leave biji and DPS as ther took care of him as their own son. Prabhjot meets her son. Tavleen feels guilty and decides to go to all gurudwara to clean her sins and asks prabhjot to accompany her. Riya and dollar are also made to marry each other with veer and Amrita.
Maan gets a letter from America regarding the debt so he goes to Delhi for meeting lawyers and apply for his practice licence. Maan lied to rana about his finical condition. It's biji and DPS'S 50 th wedding anniversary, rana thinking they are financially stable organises a grand party and is also about to buy a new car dollar brought from his friend. DPS gets to know about Maan's problem and assures him that they will be out of it soon . During the party riya gets unconscious and is rushed to hospital and after reports it's known that she is having a heart blockage. Riya needs urgent treatment to maan tells veer and dollar to bring a doctor fast but Rana pressurize maan to operate riya, maan says no as he haven't slept from 5 days and has taken sleeping pills but still rana doesn't listens to him and tells him to operate. While operating a important injection is dropped by an intern and the intern goes to the family and blames maan for Riya's deteriorating health. Another doctor comes and treats her but riya slips to coma, Rana and nimrit think Maan did this knowing and calls the medical association and files a case against him. Amrita tells maan that intern did this but Maan doesn't tells the intern name to save himself and is being taken to the police station. Riya comes out of coma and Maan is saved from going to jail but his practice licence is cancelled. Maan and Rana gets into a fight and then rana asks DPS to choose between with whom they want to stay, Rana or Maan. Dilpreet orders that all would stay together. Riya gets back to home from hospital and requests rana to forgive Maan.
