His similarity to the Batra twins was one of the main reasons his family picked Sid and were adamant that he should play Vikram. I think once meeting him that cemented their feeling and they didn’t budge. In one of the behind the scenes videos Kiara actually says that during their first meeting with Vikram Batra’s parents they kept looking at Sid and saying he reminded them so much of their son.
