Yeah he wants every actor to reduce their own fee so that he can take the maximum fee compared to his co-stars and keep the budget even, kya idea hai sir ji!!🤪 No wonder how he gave up on Hera Pheri doing the same thing, chor ki dadhi mei tinka

Did he really say this?  With a straight face?

🤣

If he didn’t also ad that he was starting with by slashing his own fees then he’s just being a hypocrite and manipulative.  What really screws the budget of these movies is the actors’ fees.  He’s not alone, but since he’s started lecturing about it his will be at the forefront of every discussion now, specially because he’s given 4 back to back disasters.

The only way to achieve success is to make good films and not by cutting corners, ofcourse the remuneration of the stars should be dependent on their BO track record of the past 3-4 films. If the actor is bringing in the crowd s/he will demand a higher price, nothing wrong in that.

That’s the problem though, some actors are demanding big numbers despite their movies flopping.  Watch the producers’ round table.  KJo said actor’s fees are getting ridiculous and he went on to add that he’ll have a meeting with the actor and show him the box office numbers of his last movie to remind him how little his movie made and the actor will argue back that he (meaning KJo and Dharma) is making a lot of money from OTT and satellite rights so he should be able to afford the fees. All the other producers agreed with him.  Nikhil Advani even said sometimes actors will do or say ridiculous things like increasing their fees by 9 crores every time saying 9 is their lucky number.

The problem is also the producers who want to take the easy root of getting a star to get openings or audience rather then rely on creating content or quality

the worse part is most movies are not even combination of star+content, they just rope in the star and go to sleep thinking it will work, and the audience is left thinking how on earth did they think this film will work
