I think she meant that since the show took a leap of 16 years they should also shown some new technology being used.
Honestly, I started liking the post-leap story only after Advait's entry.
His entry has brewed up the drama and suspense in the show.
Ekamat was too unidirectional, monotonous and cheesy!
It could have been better if they had shown how Ekamat actually fell in love post leap.
But fortunately or unfortunately all they showed is that it happened during some football match between the two.
