Basically as per this spoiler video, Pallavi started imagining something brewing between Nick and Sonali! Nick is clueless as to why she started changing suddenly and suspecting his character.
I believe Sonali/Nandita/some third person manipulated Pallavi into believing Nick is cheating on her. In one of the episodes, Pallavi was lamenting that Nick never accepted his mistakes to date. So, solving problems through communication was meaningless.

Yeah, the third person took advantage of their miscommunication. We saw na how easily Nandy manipulated Pallavi that day?
Sonali /Nandita or both created differences
One thing for sure is Nandita used it to create a bigger rift
Sonali might be interested in Nik and was jealous of Pallavi
After what we heard her tell Pallavi and Nik
It’s most likely Sonali who used their weaknesses against them as she knew and understood both of them really well
